Hello all, being my first post here i grazz you for the extraordinary work you done.
As a beginner, i play with ideea to build my rework machine, folowing Dmingo spectacular design (there is no words to say the gratitude you deserve for sharing such tremendous amount of work).
As the final touch, i read around IR noncontact termopiles, specially MLX90614, for top mostly but can be for bottom too, thinking will eliminate all the problems inherent to contact type termocouples .
My software skills are none, so i ask, noone think about this ideea ?
Maybe Dmingo, at first hand, can acomodate this by software, or someone with enough skills is allready thinking or allready doit and wanna share ?

Es posible usar sensores IR aunque hay que modificar el sketch de arduino, por contra estos sensores necesitan lentes y las lecturas se pueden ver afectadas por otros factores como el color del punto donde estás midiendo.

About MLX90614, some models have already lenses, to get a narrow field of view like 10 grades and filters to filter visible and some other, I c/p parts of datasheet
"An optical filter (long-wave pass) that cuts off the visible and near infra-red radiant flux is integrated in
the package to provide ambient and sunlight immunity. The wavelength pass band of this optical filter is from
5.5 till 14μm (except for xCH and xCI type of devices which incorporate uncoated germanium lens)."
Seem to me is a very desirable sensor to use in our application, not all models but if we choose wisely ..
About arduino modifications, is exactly what i don't understand, someone with way better skills as mine is needit for that.
Again, maybe Dmingo wich of course know the best can point us where to beginor even better to do it himself...i know, i ask a lot, he give us some fingers and i ask for entire hand now.

Out there are allready lines of cod for MLX on arduino, i know, but i repeat, im null at software, and im very sory for that
About lenses, i think put the sensor in a tube with a narrow opening will work as magic, just as in paper optical camera.

Existen algunas librerías para arduino creadas al respecto como la del siguiente link:

No debería ser problema alguno insertarlo en el sketch reemplazando la parte de los max6675, respecto a los módulos que he visto imagino que necesitan lentes adicionales para enfocar al punto a medir.
